Last Prince of Atlantis. Chapter 4: Land of the Hebrews

Once the Assassin reached the land of the Hebrews by glider, he searched ten days for the Essenes. He believed the Essenes would give the last prince refuge and protect him from the Priesthood. The Essenes were said to be a people of immense white magical power and wisdom passed down from the prophet Moses and the Priest King of Salem. The Assassin knew about the Essenes through his occult initiations and knew they had been hunted down and killed just like the Atlanteans.

His search began in Nazareth, where a disciple of the Essenes named Yeshua was from. Yeshua was said to have worked many miracles in the days of old and to have started a cult, whose members believed he rose on the third day after his crucifixion. Yeshua in those days was viewed as an enemy of the state. Under the influence of the Priesthood, the Pharisees forced the governor, Pontius Pilate, to have him crucified for blasphemy nearly 900 years ago. His followers were prosecuted in Rome and went completely underground, which made it hard for the Assassin to track them down. In Nazareth, the Assassin was eventually able to find their symbol of a fish etched on doors in the small town, signaling to members where to find refuge and other followers.

At one of the doors, the Assassin knocked to make himself known to the cult of Yeshua. At first, they were hesitant to help the Assassin because many of them still feared the wrath of Rome. But to the Assassin’s surprise once they found out he carried the last prince of Atlantis, they were an extremely pious people full of love and compassion. They directed him to the coast of Haifa where their great prophet Elijah had found refuge in the caves. They also gave him enough provisions for a week and traded him his sand glider for a horse to make the journey easier. The Assassin thanked the cult of Yeshua, and they blessed him and the infant prince.

The Assassin arrived at the caves of Elijah. To these caves the ancient prophet had fled from the evil queen Jezebel of Sidon, wife of Ahab, and her priest of Baal. Inside was another dead end. He met a hermit who claimed to be a priest of Yahweh. The hermit wore a breast plate of rubies and rare jewels. From his strong, solemn stature emanated a golden glow that signified his holiness. The hermit spoke to the Assassin, calling him by his secret name.

“I know who you are, angel of Death, and I known you were once a slave of the Priesthood of the Sun and the Imam Hassan. I know who it is you seek.” The hermit paused and allow his words to sink in, then resumed speaking. “You are seeking the Essenes, in hopes they will raise the last prince of Atlantis and protect him from those who wish to use his blood to open a doorway for the fallen ones.”

The Assassin said nothing, amazed that the stranger knew so much about the occult world of secrets and magic he was raised in.

The hermit continued, “You will not find those whom you seek in this forgotten cave that protected Elijah – he who called down fire from heaven but did not taste death. No, your journey is still beginning, but I want to give you hope and a warning. You, angel of death, will find the Essenes in the hills of Mt. Carmel, although the road leading there will be taxing with the child. They will give you and the boy refuge for a time, but you and the little prince’s energies are intertwined. You will not be able to leave him behind, for you will put the last descendants of my order in jeopardy. Your destiny will lead you to the far East, to the land of the dragon, where you will train the child in your arts. Soon after the boy comes of age, you will die protecting him for the sins you committed against the last King and Queen.”

The Assassin was quiet and looked down at the little prince sleeping peacefully in his arms. He gazed at the child for the first time with love in his eyes and held him closer. From that moment on he would treat the infant as his own son. The Assassin raised his head and looked at the hermit, saying, “Who are you, and how do you know me?”

The hermit replied, “I am the one who brought the Father of the Hebrews, Abraham, bread and wine, for which he paid me ten percent of all he had and was blessed. I am the one who wept as the tower of Atlantis was forged to carry out war against the Almighty. Yahweh’s creations were deceived and led astray by the fallen one. They chose the deception of knowledge and the lie of godhood instead of the wisdom and love of Yahweh. I have no beginning and no end; some call me priest, some call me king. Yeshua of Nazareth knew of me; we spoke often when he sat at the right hand of his Father. I am Melchizedek, and my kingdom belongs to the most high on earth and in heaven.”

The Assassin was struck by the Melchizedek’s glory and the authority of his speech. He remembered hearing stories of this great priest king in his occult learning. He bowed before Melchizedek and felt unworthy to be in presence of someone so powerful and so close to Allah.

Then the great eternal priest king walked over to the Assassin and placed his hand gently on his shoulder and peered into his soul with compassion and love.

Melchizedek said to the Assassin, “Be of great joy, for the deed you carry out is mighty and will determine the fate of the world. One day, you will find peace and your wrongdoing will be made right. I only ask that you remain faithful and be of courage.”

Once Melchizedek finished speaking, he kissed the feet of the sleeping prince and anointed the Assassin with holy oil, giving the Assassin the gift of spiritual sight. The moment passed and Melchizedek transformed into an eagle before the Assassin’s eyes, leaving the cave flying towards the sun. The Assassin began to cry and fell to his knees praying to Allah for forgiveness and wisdom. That night the Assassin camped in the caves and slept peacefully without fear. At first light he found himself looking at the endless slopes of Mt. Carmel with a feeling of hope in his heart.

The journey up Mt. Carmel was easy at first and the breeze carrying the refreshing moister from the Mediterranean Sea kept him and the baby cool. Soon after eight hours of hiking at a steady pace going uphill, the Assassin grew weary. The little prince started cry, because the sun was bearing down on him and began to irritate his skin. That night the moon brought no comfort and the night air did not supply cooler temperatures. The next day the Assassin reached the top of the first slope and after a few more hours of hiking he came to the spot where the legendary Elijah called down fire from heaven.

The spot was not marked except for a patch of scorched land that never grew back. The Assassin did not know he had reached the sacred spot and made his camp there. As he slept, he received visions of an altar and heard the mighty words of Elijah as he gave praises to Yahweh. Next, he witnessed the whirlwind of holy fire coming down from heaven to consume the altar where a slaughtered cow lay. He watched as Elijah ordered the deaths of the priest of Baal who had killed many of Yahweh’s holy men. The ordeal ended the famine and drought that ravaged the land of the Hebrews in those days restoring the worship of Yahweh. When the Assassin awoke at dawn he was amazed and thankful to receive such a vision, yet he still had no thought as to where the Essenes might be living in the vast mountain range.

On the third day, he began to wander aimlessly and feared he had made a fatal mistake by leaving the horse at the caves to traverse Mt. Carmel without leaving tracks. Yet, as doubt began to enter his heart, he remembered the words Melchizedek and his strength was renewed. Not thirty seconds later he saw a shepherd in the distance and ran to him. To the Assassin’s surprise the shepherd was a member of the sacred order of Essenes on guard and had been waiting for him.

The shepherd said to the Assassin, “We have been waiting for you and received word of your arrival from our brothers in Nazareth. They sent a hawk carrying the message days ago and I have been searching for you and the prince since. Follow me.”

The shepherd and the Assassin hiked for two more days before reaching a small village hidden in a valley deep within Mt. Carmel. Upon reaching their destination the Assassin prepared himself to meet the people who have lived in the shadows, producing the greatest prophets the world had ever known.
